What is the proper legacy of Ronald Reagan and his contribution to American history?

Was he revolutionary, nothing special, or racist? Many people have different opinions on who he was and how he helped the United States. There was conservatism, tax cuts, and anti-communism happening during his presidential reign. He started in office by saying the government was the problem to the economy and that together we would all fix that. He slowly started helping the economy become better, and with time helped the U.S

He helped with anti-communism and helped support the Russians for the wall to be taken down and to capture the evil communism. Ronald Regan also helped put an end to the cold war which had been going on for a year, and would've continued longer if he hadn't had stepped in.Also, with good intention he came up with 'War on Drugs'. Reagan, too me, was the last thing I would consider racist -- his intentions were noble when the country was on the verge of disaster. And because of him, he made drastic changes for our country that contributed to both us and Russia.
